To add free text built in PDF forms for users to use as needed.

– Affected user(s): locums and doctors that work in multiple locations in BC.

– Task affected: When all the forms were originally created, additional optional information was not added such as the location of where the doctor is writing the form from.

Often these forms do not have a specific field for this, but EMR providers and forms have had this information added for all forms when they are created, to get around this issue.

– Impact : The client thinks adding a location field for all the forms at this stage is not going to be possible, and the easiest* workaround he can see is the ability to add free text typed onto built in PDF forms on the EMR, for people to use as needed.

"This added functionality would be helpful in a lot of other cases as well, for workarounds when the forms are not created properly in the first place (which is not infrequent). Drawing out an address using the pen in PDF forms is definitely not a realistic solution, unfortunately."
