Current state: Currently, there is no way to tell if you are adding a discontinued medication in MYLE.

In your specific case, you may want to filter out products marked as “DR” (Dormant) in the marketing status field. You might also consider filtering “AP” (Approved) products, depending on your internal criteria. Active products that have been cancelled by Health Canada but whose last lot expiry date has not yet passed are labeled as “IA”. Whether to exclude these as well is something to assess based on how strictly you wish to align with current availability.
