Affected user(s):
This issue affects all users who type text within MYLE — including doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and office personnel. It appears to impact everyone using text fields where line breaks (Enter key) are used.
Task affected:
The problem occurs during text entry workflows — for example, when writing clinical notes, messages, or documentation fields within MYLE. Whenever a user presses Enter to move to a new line, the next line starts with a lowercase letter instead of automatically capitalizing the first letter of the new line.
Impact:
This issue is frequent, as it occurs every time users type multiline text. It slows down documentation slightly and can result in inconsistencies in note formatting. Enabling automatic capitalization after line breaks would save time and improve text readability and professionalism across all written communications.
Current state:
Currently, users must manually activate the Shift key to capitalize the first letter after pressing Enter. This adds small but repeated friction to text entry tasks and increases the likelihood of typographical inconsistencies.
Competition consideration:
Many modern text editors automatically capitalize the first letter after a line break, offering a smoother typing experience. Adding this feature to MYLE would align it with user expectations.
