Affected users: All MYLE users (MOA, Administrative staff, and Healthcare Professionals) managing outgoing communications for patients without an assigned primary care provider.
Task affected: Occurs during the fax sending process (Fax window) when searching for a physician. Currently, finding a physician in the directory for a fax does not link them to the patient's file.
Impact: High impact for clinics with a high volume of new or unassigned patients. This feature would significantly reduce repetitive administrative tasks and data entry errors by eliminating the need to navigate back to the Patient Profile/Demographics to manually update the Family Physician field.
Current state: Users must complete the fax, then manually navigate to the patient's Demographic section to search for and assign the Family Physician found during the faxing process. This creates a double-entry workflow.
