Affected users: Primarily Healthcare Professionals (Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, etc.) who require high-speed data entry during consultations.
Task affected: Initial clinical note creation (Reason for Consultation field) and various other data entry forms across the MYLE interface. Currently, users must manually click into the first text field to begin typing after a window or section opens.
Impact: High cumulative productivity loss. These repetitive "empty clicks" increase the physical strain and cognitive load for providers. Automating the cursor placement (Auto-focus) would streamline the documentation process and improve the overall user experience.
Current state: Users must perform a redundant mouse click for every new interaction or form before they can start typing, which disrupts the natural workflow of a fast-paced clinical environment.
