PORTAL: Prompt patients when their assigned Primary Care Provider has availability during booking.

Affected users: Patients using the portal and clinic management aiming for better continuity of care.

Task affected: The appointment booking process on the Patient Portal.

Impact: High. Patients often select the first available slot they see without realizing their own family doctor has openings. This leads to fragmented care (de-affiliation) and inefficient schedule management for the clinic.

Current state: The portal shows available slots without prioritizing or highlighting the patient's assigned provider. Patients may unintentionally book with a different professional, unaware that their own doctor is available.

Proposed Solution: If a patient attempts to book a specific appointment type with a different professional, the system should trigger a notification/pop-up if their assigned family doctor has available slots for that same appointment type, encouraging continuity of care.
