Task affected: Reviewing the patient's current pregnancy status during consultations or phone triage. This affects the global view of the Medical Summary.
Impact: High frequency. Currently, nurses must manually recalculate the gestational age (GA) during every interaction, which is tedious, time-consuming, and increases the risk of clinical calculation errors.
Current state: Users have to navigate through previous medical notes or specific pregnancy modules to find the last recorded date and then perform a manual calculation to determine the current GA and EDD. There is no persistent, real-time indicator in the patient header.
Competition consideration: Most modern EMRs with obstetrics modules display the current GA prominently to ensure clinical safety and workflow efficiency.
