Affected users: All clinic staff (Healthcare Professionals, Nurses, and MOAs) who access patient charts.
Task affected: Patient File module. Specifically, the exact moment a patient's chart is opened/loaded by any user.
Impact: High clinical risk and potential medical-legal issues. Currently, if an abnormal lab or imaging result comes in and is accidentally left unread or unopened by the ordering provider, there is no passive safety net. Critical patient conditions could remain unnoticed, leading to delayed treatments and compromised patient safety.
Current state: Users must completely rely on the provider's individual results in the RESULTS tab or manually navigate to the patient's Results section to check for unread or abnormal reports. There is no automated, clinic-wide safety trigger at the patient file level.
