Affected users: Healthcare Professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners) who author and sign prescriptions within MYLE.
Task affected: Clinical Note module—Medication Plan / Prescription workflow. Specifically, the behavior of the fields below the "If needed" (PRN) toggle button.
Impact: Unnecessary manual data entry and deviations from standard clinical design expectations. When creating a PRN prescription, users expect the system to blank out the Quantity, R (Refills), and Total Duration fields automatically. Because the system currently leaves previous or default values populated, clinicians face repetitive clicks to manually delete text from three separate fields, slowing down the prescribing process.
Current state: No automation exists to clear these fields simultaneously upon selecting "If needed". The only workaround is for users to create and save custom prescription favorites with these specific sections already left blank, otherwise they must manually erase the data field by field every time.
