Impact: Disrupted clinical workflow, increased administrative overhead, and potential patient safety risks. Forcing clinicians to leave the refill interface to discontinue a medication creates friction and increases the risk of active, outdated medications remaining incorrectly listed on the patient's profile.
Current state: Clinicians must exit the RX Renewal module, navigate to the patient's full chart/medication list to discontinue the old medication or dosage, and then return to the renewal module to complete and send the new prescription.
