RESULTS: For users in BC, maintain "New" status for providers in RESULTS tab until individually filed.

Affected users: Healthcare Professionals (Physicians, Specialists) receiving copies (CCs) or as the main prescriber of lab or diagnostic results.

Task affected: Patient Charting & Inbox Management — RESULTS tab, specifically the "New" section.

Impact: High clinical risk and administrative burden. When one provider files a shared result, it currently changes the status of the result to "Filed by colleague" for all other recipients. This creates a severe risk of missed critical lab results, delays in patient care, and extra friction as clinicians are forced to manually coordinate who files what.

Current state: Clinicians must manually search through archived/filed results to verify who filed their result(s) and/or contact that colleague to request that they refrain from filing shared results so the primary requesting provider can process them.
