Ms. Wozniak asked us to have the possibility to remove the time duration (30 min, 60 min, etc) from the notifications sent to patients. Their clinic doesn't want the patients to know the exact amount of time alotted to an appointment as the time they give includes charting time, turn over of room time etc. With the patient knowing that their appointment is booked for 60 min per example, they usually take the full 60 min for the consultation which doesn't leave time for the personel to do the rest of their tasks in between patients. Here is the message:
'' I would like to ask again if MYLE could remove the duration of the appointment from the notifications to patients. In the example below, it is where it says that the appointment is 60 minutes.
In the MYLE system, just because the time is blocked for 30 minutes, or 60 minutes, doesn’t mean that the patient is entitled to sit there and talk for the whole duration of that time. Providers need time to chart, and turn over the room.
Patients DO NOT NEED to be given a duration time on their appointments. They only need to be told what time to be here for their appointment. ''
