Enhance how Results attaches/link automatically to patient file (other or more than Health Card)

Client wishes to enhance how results show in patient file, because currently, results shows in patient file in relation to whatever is entered in the Health Card section, the issue rose when a patient had changed province, hence the health card update was necessary which removed results on file. The new health card needs to be updated and cannot be input in identifier because it will affect the billing.

We explained workarounds ;;

A) link result manually to patient file [although in the given example the result was not even under patient name], hence could not find under Results tab

B) use identifier to keep the old health card on file always as reference, switch them to see the result on file

C) download results pdf file, upload under document section before changing health card

We confirmed that this does not happen often, although the client still wishes, regardless, to raise this concern for the future to at least relook at this behaviour and perhaps enhance it, to not make the results depended solely on the health card.

1. – Affected user(s): Anyone who has access to patient files/results.

   – Task affected: When looking at results in a patient files, if Health Card is updated, the results attached to old health card dissapear from the file

   – Impact : Although this does not happen often, the client noticed this with the patient shown below and thought this could cause potential issues if this happens in the future with patients with many results

   – Current state Results shows automatically in patient file based on what is in the health card field only
