Task affected:

• Creation of medical notes within the patient's chart

Impact:

• No time would be saved, but the medical note would be clearer and the information better segregated.

• Nurses do not have a dedicated section to hold triage notes.

Current state:

• The current state is either the nurse creates a whole triage note, which forces the doctor to jump in and out of their note to consult the nurse's, or the nurse has to write in the Medical History section, which Dr. Demers thinks should remain exclusively for the doctor.
