This impacts prescribing personnel as well as patients
This is experienced by everyone but is especially problematic for older patients
Task affected:
Certain clinics do not accept fax referals, and it is the patient's responsability to reach out to the recipient and take an appointment.
However, when printing a consultation request, the only information included on the printed sheet for the recipient are the recipient's name and fax number; there are no other specific contact info for the patient to use, or any indication of which office the provider was refering them to.
Impact:
A considerable amount of time.
Patients end up not knowing at which office they should be taking an appointment, reach back out to the clinic, and the clinic personnel then has to assist them in finding the information, etc.
Current state:
According to the reporting user, the providers currently copy-paste the contact infos from their old EMR to the consult request's note section in MYLE to display full information for the patient.
