When creating consultation requests, users select a specialty and then type the specialist's name.
However, users often do not know which specialists are available near their clinic or within the same region. To address this, I suggest reorganizing our specialist directory hierarchy as follows: Specialty → Region → Specialist Name.
In this approach, when a user selects a specialty, the MYLE system back-end automatically filters specialists based on the selected specialty. The user can then input a region (e.g., Surrey), and the recipient section will display the names of available and registered specialists corresponding to the selected specialty and region.

In the PS suite EMR, the search in the directory went like this: if a Dr is searching for a urologist, they enter the keyword URO. All search results for URO are displayed. Clinician also have the ability to input and reads comments so they can direct better their referrals (and minimize chances of refusal). They find the MYLE fax directory tedious as you already have to know to whom you want to fax the referral to
