Myle Customer Ideas Portal

Patients using the MYLE portal to book appointments online.
Task affected:
The appointment booking workflow within the MYLE patient portal.
Impact:
Currently, the workflow enforces a single order: Specialty > Doctor > Location > Appointment Type.
This order makes it difficult for patients to compare availability across multiple doctors within the same area, often requiring them to restart the process entirely.
By making the booking flow configurable per clinic (e.g., allowing Specialty > Location > Doctor or other preferred orders), clinics can tailor the experience to their patients’ needs.
For example, a location-first flow allows patients to browse all doctors at a chosen site, making it easier to compare appointment times, as availability is centralized by location rather than tied to a specific doctor.
Current state:
Patients must restart or backtrack in the portal if they want to explore other doctor options within the same region or specialty.

Nursing is requesting that patients be able to select the Appointment type first, then select the Name of the provider.
Reasoning : as the GMF has multiple nurses, it doesn't matter which nurse the patient will be seeing. With the current portal flow, patients would have to choose among too many options of nurses before even choosing the type of appointment needed.
