Impact:
Currently, the workflow enforces a single order: Specialty > Doctor > Location > Appointment Type.
This order makes it difficult for patients to compare availability across multiple doctors within the same area, often requiring them to restart the process entirely.
By making the booking flow configurable per clinic (e.g., allowing Specialty > Location > Doctor or other preferred orders), clinics can tailor the experience to their patients’ needs.
For example, a location-first flow allows patients to browse all doctors at a chosen site, making it easier to compare appointment times, as availability is centralized by location rather than tied to a specific doctor.
Current state:
Patients must restart or backtrack in the portal if they want to explore other doctor options within the same region or specialty.
