Impact: High. Currently, there is no clear visual distinction between documents that have been opened and those that have not. This lack of differentiation leads to confusion, duplication of work, and the potential risk of overlooking critical clinical information or urgent results that have been scanned into the system.
Current state: Users must rely on memory or manually track their progress to identify which files have been processed. Unlike the Communications or Results modules where unread items are bolded, the Documents section lacks this standard UI behavior, creating an inconsistent user experience.
