Affected users: All MYLE users, including Healthcare Professionals (Physicians, Nurses) and Administrative Staff/MOAs reviewing clinical documentation.
Task affected: Patient Charting — Results and Documents tabs. Specifically, updating chart items (such as active medications, diagnoses, specialist notes, and medical summary elements) directly from the sidebar while actively reviewing incoming lab results or attached documents.
Impact: Significant productivity loss and increased risk of clinical oversight. Users must constantly navigate away from the active document/result or open the PDF attached to that entry in MYLE, return to the main chart summary or open a separate note to input updates, and then navigate back to the Results or Documents tab. This redundant navigation causes cognitive fatigue and delays in chart completion.
Current state: Users must exit their current view in the Results/Documents tab, navigate to the main patient chart summary or open a new clinical note to add or update diagnoses, medications, or comments, and then manually navigate back to the document/result they were reviewing.
