Narcotic Prescriptions in BC (IMPORTANT)

Previously, narcotics were only prescribed via a triplicate pad; Duplicate prescription pads are typically written by hand. The prescriber copy (blue copy) is underneath the pharmacy copy.

However, EMR printer-friendly sheets are digitally printed and are void if the prescription is handwritten. The pharmacy copy and prescriber copy are printed side by side.
