When there is a new message the user wants an indication that a new message has arrived. As opposed to waiting for the banner to auto-update in case the message is urgent. Therefore, users are requesting a pop up for [x] number of seconds.
One clinic said 5 seconds another said 3 seconds, if this could be customized that would be cool. If not, 3 second pop up displaying the subject line and urgency
Hi Jenn, thanks for creating this idea. We are currently working on integrating the SignalR library (allowing server code to send asynchronous notifications to client-side web applications, i.e without having the user refresh the page). Once this is done, we will be able to consider such functionalities (internal chat, auto-refresh for calendar, messages, etc.)!
