Some EMR licensed in New Brunswick (intrhealth) allow for automatic planning of a patient's immunization schedule. For example, for a 3 year old child you can easily see which vaccines he or she will need and by date in the futur. This feature is very useful for nurses in UMFs like this clinic. Currently, this functionality does not exist in MYLE and it is a step backwards for them.
I am not in a position to know if this is a certification requirement for NB. Is this a development we want to do if it is not included in the registration criteria?
This would be useful for clinics in Quebec as well to keep track of recall vaccines.
